For the last four or so years, I have participated in the Inktober challenge. <a href=”https://inktober.com/”>The guy who started it</a> in 2009 releases a list of [optional] one-word prompts each October, which you then do a daily drawing from. The only stipulation is that you do the drawing in ink. You can use pencil first (I do), you can use pens, markers, quill and ink, whatever you want, as long as it is ink. There are dozens of other prompts lists released each year, or you can make your own, etc. – the point is to further your drawing skills and get you in the habit of creating!
In 2019 I actually completed the full prompts list! However, I was working a lot of overtime during October 2019 so this did include some ‘twofers’ and ‘threefers’ – two or three prompt words in one drawing.
The 2019 prompts list was:

3. Bait (a Trojan horse – played around with grayscale copic markers too)
4. Freeze (or he’ll shoot!)

7. Enchanted (an ode to ‘Sorceror’s Apprentice’ from Fantasia – also used grayscale copic markers and red pen)

23. Ancient (okay this was our Halloween night out, and it took a couple hours to paint all those letters and images onto myself, backwards and half left-handed…so I counted it as “Ancient” ouija magick and used it as my Inktober “drawing” for the day!)
